ANCHOR Membership Terms & Conditions

Effective January 2026

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the ANCHOR Membership Program (“Membership”) offered by Elder Options (“we,” “our,” “us”). By purchasing or renewing an ANCHOR Membership, the member (“you,” “your”) agrees to the terms outlined below. Memberships are designed to offer discounted service hours and enhanced support for individuals seeking ongoing advocacy and independent-living assistance.

2. Nature of Services
ANCHOR provides non-medical advocacy and support services. Membership services do not include medical care, personal care, home health services, legal advice, or financial fiduciary services.

  • Services provided may include:
  • Advocacy and coordination
  • Daily living support
  • Administrative and organizational assistance
  • Home safety support
  • Social and emotional wellbeing support
  • Family updates and communication

3. Membership Plans & Service Hours

3.1 Use of Service Hours

  • Service hours may be used for any ANCHOR service within scope.
  • Time is tracked in 15-minute increments.
  • Travel time may count toward service hours when applicable.
  • Virtual, phone-based, and in-person services all apply toward total hours.

3.2 Unused Hours

Unused hours will not roll over to the next month. Hours must be used within the monthly billing cycle in which they are purchased. Any unused hours at the end of a billing cycle expire and are non-refundable.

3.3 Expiration of Hours

Unused hours expire at the end of each billing cycle and cannot be refunded or credited toward future months.

4. Membership Payment & Billing

4.1 Payment Terms

  • Membership fees are due at the time of purchase.
  • Payment is required before services can be delivered.
  • Members joining after the 1st of the month will be charged a pro rata membership fee for their first month of services.
  • Additional fees may apply for payments made via debit or credit cards.

4.2 Automatic Monthly Billing & Cancellation Notice

Memberships are billed automatically on the 1st day of each month. Members who wish to cancel their Membership must provide a 60-day written notice. The 60-day notice requirement may be waived in circumstances such as the member’s death, relocation outside the service area, or substantial changes in medical or healthcare needs that make continued participation inappropriate. All waiver determinations will be made at ANCHOR’s discretion.

4.3 Non-Refundable Fees

Membership payments are non-refundable, except when required by law or under Section 7 (ANCHOR-initiated cancellation).

5. Scheduling & Availability

5.1 Service Hours

Services are typically offered Monday–Friday during standard business hours. Evening or weekend services may be arranged on a case-by-case basis depending on staff availability.

5.2 Cancellation of Appointments

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may result in a minimum 1-hour deduction from Membership hours.

6. Responsibilities of the Member

By using ANCHOR services, you agree to:

  1. Provide accurate and complete information regarding your needs and preferences.
  2. Maintain a safe home environment for Associates during visits.
  3. Inform us promptly of any changes in your condition or situation that may affect service delivery.
  4. Use services only within the scope of non-medical support.

7. ANCHOR-Initiated Membership Cancellation

ANCHOR reserves the right to cancel or suspend Membership if:

  • The service environment is unsafe for Associates
  • The requested services fall outside ANCHOR’s non-medical scope
  • There is harassment, abusive behavior, or repeated violations of policies
  • Fraudulent or false information is provided
  • Payment is not received

If ANCHOR cancels a Membership for reasons not related to behavior, safety, or nonpayment, unused hours will be refunded on a prorated basis.

8. Member-Initiated Cancellation

You may cancel your Membership at any time. Membership fees already paid are non-refundable. Any unused service hours at the time of cancellation are forfeited unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Limitations of Service

ANCHOR Associates cannot provide:

  • Medical care, personal care, or medication administration
  • Skilled nursing or clinical services
  • Legal, financial, or tax advice
  • Transportation using their personal vehicles
  • Emergency services (always call 911)

In emergency or crisis situations, ANCHOR will support communication and coordination but cannot substitute emergency responders.

10. Confidentiality & Privacy

We are committed to protecting your personal information. All records and service details are stored securely and managed in accordance with Elder Options privacy standards and applicable regulations.
